PTS Mattby Sans supports more than 200 latin based languages, which are spoken in more than 200 different countries.
Stylistic sets
With stylistic sets, you can replace certain characters with one from a font-specific set of stylistic alternatives. PTS Mattby Sans has two different sets:
- Stylistic set 01: Single Storey a and g
- Stylistic set 02: Alternate S
Discretionary ligatures
PTS Mattby Sans has multiple ligatures and substitutions.
Glyph substitutions
Some glyphs can be easily accessed with discretionary ligatures. For example Rightwards Arrow (→) can be accessed by typing hyphen (-) and greater (>), and activating Discretionary Ligatures.

Type capital “N”, followed by “degree” (°) or ordmasculine (º), and activate Discretionary Ligatures to turn these two characters into a nicely designed Numero character (unicode 2116).
